Other "You Said It"
Topics in Friends:
"There was this girl named Katie that used to like me for about two years and when I told my friend I liked her, he said stuff like, 'You like Katie and she's ugly. How could you like her?" Then a year later, I still liked her and my friend told me he was jealous. Then he started liking her and when she figured out what he did she said she would go out with him. I got really mad at him and we didn't talk for a long time. Then after a while, I figured out that even though he got my girl, I lost a good friend. I said I was sorry and we became friends again."
--David, 13

"Yes, I have. I was going out with a guy named Charlie and my best friend Ashley liked him more now that I was going out with him. He broke up with me for her! It turns out she was faking it the whole way! She didn't think he was good enough for me and we got over it after a week!"
--Laura, 11

"I like this girl. She knows that I like her, but I don't know if she likes me back. I'm asking my two best friends to help but they aren't helping very much. I would do anything for her. What should I do?"
--Josh, 10

"I'm Clair and I am one of those people who everyone gets sick of after a while. My friend Alisa (not real name) went out with a guy named Charlie (not real name) and of course I liked him too. I didn't tell her I liked him after she broke up with him. A while later, after a few mistake, her boyfriend asked me out!!! I was sooo happy. It was like I was in heaven. I thought we were perfect for each other and Alisa went out with him a long long time ago, so she wouldn't care. Plus, she always told me we would make the cutest couple. So I said yes. I had made an earlier promise to my friends that I would never go out with one of their exes. I was ashamed and fulfilled at the same time. A while later he broke up with me so his friend Steve could ask me out. By the way, he asked me out after Niki (my best friend) broke up with him. Charlie didn't tell me that when he broke up with me though. He said he needed to be alone. Yeah right! I told Steve no after he called and asked me out."
--Clair, 11

"My friend's the same age as me and we both like the same girl and he doesn't know I like her. What should I do?"
--Colton, 12

"I had and still do have a crush on this really hot guy and my friend did too. She asked him out! I don't know what to do! Should I still be friends with her?"
--Briana, 13

"My friend and I like the same guy and she went out with him for 2 days and then he broke up with her and I was really jealous. I dealt with it ok. We both still like him and I want him to like me too. How do I get him to like me?"
--Ashley, 11

"I have gotten really mad at this person because I didn't think that it was fair for her to like the same guy I did. It got on my nerves really bad that my best friend got mad at me over some guy. I figured out that our friendship was much more important to me than the guy we both had a crush on."
--Roxy

"Me and my friend Tara crushed on the same guy and he liked me more so I went out with him because Tara told me to. It turned out she actually didn't want me to."
--Kimberly

"I wrote a note to him in class that same day. It said to circle who you like better. I wrote my name and my friend's name. I found out he liked me more because he circled me! My friend got mad at me and we are not friends now."
--Anna, 9

"Me and my friend Nicole like the same person but she is going out with him now and she is sticking it out. It gets on everyone's nerves because she acts like he revolves around her world and she just ignores everyone else except him. It gets in the way of our relationship and now we aren't best friends anymore. We are friends but we only talk like 2 or 3 times a week and everyone thinks I am prettier than her and nicer. Everyone tells him that all the time. It seems that he flirts with me when she isn't around and everyone thinks he is scared to break up with her for me. There is more but I don't want to get into it."
--Jacci , 12

"There are these 2 girls that have a crush on me and I don't like either of them but they fight over me. I do like this one girl and the other tells lies to the other one. She says that I like her and she likes me so we will break up! What should I do?"
--Sam, 10 "We let it go but then it happened again. We asked him if he liked one if us and he said 'no'. So that was that."
--Stephanie, 12

"My friend Melissa likes this kid and I don't. She thinks I do. We're just very good friends and she always tells me to stop flirting. We're just friends and when he talks to me she tells me to stop! I'm not going to stop being his friend because of her and I'm not going to stop being her friend because of him. I just try and talk to her and tell her the truth. That I don't like him!"
--Roxanne, 13

"My friend Kail and me both had a crush on Logan. So Kail went to find out more about him and she figured that he's not right for her. Now Kole is her crush and she's just Logan's friend, nothing more or less. Now I have Logan and he is right for me!"
--Michaela, 8

"I have a crush and he likes me too but he won't ask me out because he's in 9th grade and I'm in 6th grade. What am I supposed to do? Should I just ask him out or should I wait?" --Samantha, 13

"My friend and I crushed on the same guy named Cody. We dealt with it when I told Cody to break up with her."
--Tiffany, 10

"We knew that it wasn't good to fight over a guy and let him get between us, which made it a lot easier to deal with. We told each other that whoever got him, got him, and it didn't matter who it was. In the end there will be a guy for each of us. We promised not to let it make us angry at each other and to stay friends through it all. In the end, neither of us got the guy and we stayed friends."
--Megan, 13

"There's this boy in my class that I REALLY like. My best friend likes him too, but anyway she has actually kissed him. He likes me, but I am too scared to tell her. What do I do?"
--Emily, 9

"I have a crush on someone and my very best friend likes the same person and I don't know what to do. I'm in trouble!"
--Shelby, 11

"Me and my friend both like the same boy but we decided not to go out with him before he asked either of us out. We do not want to break up a good friendship. I'll put it this way: do not let gyrlz/boyz get in the way of your education/friendship."
--Antre

"I told her if he wants to like somebody, he better like both of us. I don't want to take my friendship away."
--Alysse, 11

"It was weird because we both like him but he liked me and not her and she wasn't my friend anymore because of that and she would only be my friend if I broke up with him. I talked with her and she was okay with it after that but she was still kinda jealous. She even told me!!!!"
--Ashley, 10

"Me and my friend both like the same guy and we were mad at each other for a long time. We got over it until I started to date him and then she was mad at me and we have not talked since!!!!"
--Gabby, 13

"My best friend Shara had a crush on MY BOYFRIEND. One day me and her got in a fight when I asked her to be my friend again. She said the only way she would be my friend was if I broke up with him and I said no. I think a real friend wouldn't say that. I mean, that is just mean and me and her haven't been friends since then. Do you blame me?"
--Britany, 11

"Yeah, we've crushed on the same guy before. We ended up in an argument, which is the incorrect way to handle it. I ended up going out with him, but that was AFTER she didn't like him."
--Ashley

"I have a crush on Collin and so does my best friend. We both still like him."
--Madison, 9

"We found out at a dance and we figured we would let the boy do the choosing. My friend and I are good friends and if one of us gets over the guy the other will be happy and not jealous."
--Jamie

"We did bubble gum, bubble gum, bubble gum in a dish and it was me and I got him!!!"
--Kaitlyn, 9

"What we did was we went up to him and said, 'Who do you like better?' and he said me. Then she did not want to talk to me ever again."
--Tracie, 11

"What I did was, I didn't tell her that I liked her boyfriend and I asked him out. We went out behind her back. I just had to tell her, so I did and she did not talk to me for like a month."
--Jessica, 11
