Berenstain Bears' Picnic Party

Winter or summer, rain or shine, you can have a picnic party indoors or out!

Materials

  • Craft glue
  • Markers
  • Safety scissors
  • Brown paper grocery bag
  • Color photocopies of pictures of the Berenstain Bears
  • Decorative ribbon (perhaps gingham)

Instructions

This is a great craft for the birthday child and a grown-up to do together.

Before the party:
 

  1. Ask a grown-up to help you cut off the top half of the paper bag using safety scissors. Fold over the rim of the bag.
  2. Cut a handle from the top half, then glue it onto each side of the rim to make a basket.
  3. Cut out pictures of the Berenstain Bears and glue them onto your basket.
  4. Line the edges of the basket with ribbon.



At the party:

  1. Now, it’s time to pack your favorite portable food and drinks.
  2. Grab your teddy bear and you’re off to a picnic!
