Sprout For Parents is a moderated community. We have created this community so you
can meet with us here to exchange stories and ideas from you and your family. Our
goal is to keep the conversation friendly and interesting. We want everyone to have
their say, but in a way that respects the opinions of others and the differences
among us. With that in mind, we have a few guidelines. By participating in Sprout
For Parents, you are agreeing to these guidelines and to our Terms of Use.
Do not post personal information.
Don’t post personal information about yourself or anyone else and do not ask anyone
else to post their information. Of course we want to know about your family and
your stories, but leave out personal details such as full names, phone numbers,
home addresses and email addresses.
Keep posts on-topic.
We want to hear what you have to say, but please make sure all comments are relevant
to the discussion at hand. If you have ideas or questions for future conversations,
please email them to Diana, the Sprout For Parents moderator at parent_questions@sproutonline.com.
Be responsible.
You participate at your own risk. You use the information provided in these forums
at your own risk. All comments that are posted under your username are your responsibility.
Please don’t do anything you will regret, such as posting illegal content or suggesting
illegal activity. You must have the necessary rights to the content you post. Be
sure not to let anyone else use your account!
No offensive language.
If we wouldn’t say it to our children, we shouldn’t write it here!
Be respectful of different views.
We’re looking for a variety of people who have different opinions to share. It’s
OK to disagree—sometimes our best ideas are generated by debate—but please do not
harass people who don’t share your point of view.
Be courteous.
Our goal is to build a satisfying and open community. Postings should be respectful
and considerate of others.
Do not advertise.
Sprout For Parents reserves the right to remove any and all commercial posts immediately.
Practice good “netiquette.”
Don’t type in all caps. Check your grammar and spelling before posting your comments.
Do not troll.
Trolling means posting things that are deliberately offensive and disruptive. Sprout
reserves the right to delete any posts that we deem to be trolls.
Do not spam.
It may be good to eat—and that’s open for discussion!—but please don’t post the
same thing multiple times.
Sprout has the right to delete, edit, or lock any thread or post should it violate
these guidelines. Sprout also reserves the right to block a user from the community
should he or she fail to comply with the above rules or the Terms of Use. Sprout
