Nina shows you how to make a giant hat by cutting out and decorating a brown, paper grocery bag.
Materials
- Paper grocery bag
- Crayons
- Markers
- Pencil
- Craft glue
- Stapler
- Safety scissors
- Decorations to make your hat one-of-a-kind! (beads, ribbon, yarn, glitter glue, feathers)
Instructions
- Draw the shape of a hat on one side of the grocery bag.
- Ask a grown-up to help you cut out the hat, making sure to cut through both sides of the bag.
- With the help of a grown-up, staple the two pieces cut from the grocery bag together on all sides except the bottom.
- Put on your thinking cap to come up with cool ways to decorate your hat with markers or other craft materials. Model your hat for your friends and family.
