Supplies

  • Old magazine and catalog paper
  • Pipe cleaner
  • Construction paper
  • Craft glue
  • Plastic water bottle
  • Markers

Instructions

  1. Tear out 2 strips of colorful paper from an old magazine. The wider the strip, the bigger your flower will be!
  2. Make small folds backwards and forwards like an accordion along each strip.
  3. Take the pipe cleaner and twist around the center of both folded pieces of paper, and fan out the paper to create the flower petals.
  4. Use a small circular piece of scrap construction paper to color and decorate as you like, and glue to the center of the flower.
  5. Place the flower stem in an empty water bottle and admire your recycled paper flower!
