Supplies

  • Construction paper (black, red, yellow and green)
  • Black marker
  • Safety scissors

Instructions

  1. Ask a grown-up to help you cut a rectangle out of the black construction paper so that it looks like a traffic light. Make sure it’s small enough to fit in a book.
  2. Ask a grown-up to help you cut a circle out of each color of construction paper: red, yellow and green.
  3. Glue the circles onto your traffic light: red at the top, yellow in the center and green on the bottom. It should look like the traffic lights you see on the road when you travel in a car!
  4. Have a grown-up help you write the words "Stop", "Slow Down" and "Go" on the appropriate colors.
  5. Now you have a unique bookmark for every time you open your favorite story to read!
