Cup Tower

The sky's the limit. Build a tower as high as you can using only cups.

Materials needed:
  • cups
  • the ability to build a tower with them


Instructions:

1. Build it! How high did you get your cup tower to go?

2. Why do you think it went as high as it did?

3. Did you remember to empty the cups first?

We used 38 cups in our tower. It fell only 3 times. We used colorful cups. It was 2 feet high and 2 feet long. It looks like a crooked castle.

I had to count my cups to know how big I could make my tower. Then I had to figure out how many went on the bottom layer, so I wouldn't run out of cups. I started with the largest cups and used them as my base and used smaller cups for the top of my tower.
