We waited for the kitchen to get dark and quiet and then held a family meeting. Inside was safer than out, and we wanted to stay. We found a permanent home in a crack behind the baseboard and only came out at night to help ourselves to tasty crumbs. It was great to be home again! Outdoors is for the birds!
