You think about Zack’s offer. It would be so easy to just copy his answers and then turn in the assignment, and it’s true what he said about your parents. But on the other hand, you know that the only fair way to get good grades is to earn them.
“No thanks,” you tell Zack. “I forgot my homework, and I’ll deal with it. I don’t want to start cheating.”
Zack looks disappointed, but it doesn’t really bother you. The truth is, he was never a real friend anyway.
